TRAI DND 3.0(Do Not Disturb) 3.3.0

The Do Not Disturb (DND 3.0) App allows smartphone users to register their mobile number under the DND service to prevent Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC), telemarketing calls, and SMS. This service is in line with the Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulations, 2018, set forth by TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India).

The DND App offers the following features:

1. Set your DND preferences.
2. Lodge a UCC complaint with your service provider.
3. Check the status of complaints filed with your service provider.

The App requires permission to access your address book in order to differentiate between calls/messages from your saved contacts and those from unknown telemarketers. Rest assured that your contact list is never uploaded or shared in any way.

The latest release of the App introduces the following additional features:

• An intelligent spam detection engine (for SMS only) to facilitate easier reporting for subscribers.
• Crowdsourcing of data about offending messages and calls to expedite the identification of unregistered telemarketers.
• Real-time updates on actions taken with regards to complaints within the App.
• An improved interface and setup process for user convenience.

Note: In MIUI Phones, you will need to manually grant permission to access message headers (like XY-AAAAAA) in order to view them in the DND App. To do this, go to app permissions, select the DND app, and enable the "Service SMS" field.
